All 2026/2027 Band Events will be listed here for marching band, special band events and band concerts.This schedule will be updated as events are confirmed. Please note, some marching band competitions are not confirmed until closer to the proposed event date.
Home vs. Northwest Guilford & Middle School Night
Please note we are performing postgame to accommodate homecoming. It is also Middle School Band night, so we will need all hands on deck from parent volunteers!
We will be performing in a Pep Rally at the end of the school day on the 9th, so we will trek back to the band room after that straight to warm up.
West Forsyth Middle School Band Night Schedule:
10/9/2026
Green Show Shirts
3:40 - Pit moves equipment, their drum stands to stadium, Winds and DL start warming up in band room
4:20 - 5:10 - eat dinner with middle school students (Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza, salads)
5:15 - 6:15 - Return to band room, MSBN students learn the music for the songs Power, Heavy Groove, Mars, Also Sprach, Vader, O Fortuna and Dies Irae. (Be ready to go slow and to teach things to the middle schoolers)
6:15 - Line up, walk down to the football stadium. All MSBN students will sit in the West Band section of stands and stay there for the duration of the experience.
6:41 - West Band performs the National Anthem
7:00 - Game starts, MSBN students will perform stand tunes with the West Band.
8:15 - Estimated halftime, Middle School students to be checked out to a parent at the back football gate if signed up for that option. We will have all of halftime off, so be ready to be back at the start of the 3rd to support drumline.
9:15 - West Forsyth Band Postgame Performance, guard will go warm up with around 7 minutes left in the 4th.

2:05 - Arrive, deliver props to staging area

5:00 - Roll to trailer, load and change, return to stadium
5:45-6:45 - Eat at concessions

Pisgah Competition

All students put on marching shoes upon arrival.
8:15 - Arrive at West, pit starts warm up
8:20 - Visual Warm up
8:40 - Wind/Drumline Warm up, Pit load
9:10 - Load Trailer and Buses, All Wind instruments on bus.
9:30 - Depart for Pisgah High School, approx 3 1/2 Hour Drive, trailer and parent volunteers head straight to Pisgah to unload props as soon as y’all get there.
11:30 - Stop at McDowell I40 Rest area (Mile 82)
11:45 - Resume drive
1:00 - Arrive at Pisgah, Deliver Props/Ship
1:45 - Dress
2:30 - Warm Up
3:10 - Leave Warm Up
3:20 - Stage at gate
3:25 - Perform
3:45 - Parents Roll pit/props to trailer, students stack instruments and find watch the last 2 bands from rear bleacher or other adjacent space. Drumline and pit may need to roll equipment back to the trailer then return to watch.

Ledford Competition
From Mr. Shoemaker:
Please note, once we get off the buses at Ledford the buses are stored off site, so you will need EVERYTHING for your show as you get off the bus.
I have attached the schedule as a pdf and will be below as well. Please note, if you are late, we WILL leave you and it will be the student and parent's responsibility to get to the competition in time.
Parents, do be advised that there is ticketed admission to the competition and that Davidson County will enforce a clear bag policy in the stands. Students, the clear bag policy applies to us as well after we perform and enter the stands.

Students need to arrive having eaten breakfast and will need money for a concession stand dinner. We will be giving out snacks on the bus that must stay on the bus!
Wind and percussion students MUST wear their green West Bands shirt and long black socks!
No PJ pants allowed in the stands OR under uniforms.

10:00 - Start rehearsal on Football Field
12:30 - Finish Practice, load props and pit into the trailer, dismiss to lunch.
1:30 - Change into halves (Depending on heat)
2:00 - Start music warm ups
2:45 - Load busses and trailer
3:00 - Depart for Reagan High School, est. drive of 25 minutes
3:30 - Arrive, unload, set up props.
3:30 - Stadium and Equipment Lots Open for Parking/Bands Begin Arriving
4:30 - National Anthem Rehearsal (Students participating should have an email)
5:00 - Mass Band Rehearsal
As soon as mass band is done (5:30?) we will change into fulls.
6:00- Warm Up
6:20-Wind Leadership to the field for the National Anthem.
6:40- Depart Warm up
6:50- At gate. Move to set up.
7:00 - West Forsyth High School Performance
As soon as we are done performing, we will move pit and props to the truck, parents load, students return to stadium.
8:30 - Mass Band Performance
9:00 - Return to busses/trailer, load, go home
9:45 - Estimated return to West.

Student Schedule:
3:40 - School Dismissal, students either stay in the band room and eat a packed/brought dinner or go get fast food.
5:10 - Students report back to the band room, begin warm up (Guard upper BR, Winds lower BR, Drums Outside, pit roll and stage percussion equipment at field, then join Drumline).
5:30 - Musical Ensemble in the band room on stand tunes
6:20 - Walk to field
6:41 - National Anthem
7:00 - Game starts
8:15ish - Halftime performance
Away @ Mount Tabor

6:00 - Depart for Mt. Tabor High School, est. drive of 15 minutes.
6:15 - Arrive, unload, set up, get concessions if available.

8:20 - Halftime, we will go over and watch their show. Students go get concession stand dinner afterwards.
