Marching Band News

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We continue to fall short on volunteers — right now, approximately 20 parents and alumni parents are covering the bulk of all our shifts.

If you plan to attend these events to support your student, please sign up to help share the load. Many parents in the stands offer to help in the moment, but we need to know ahead of time that we can safely staff each event. The last thing we want is to be forced to cancel events due to lack of volunteers — our students and staff have worked way too hard this season.

Jamboree chaperones are an urgent need this week — we have 0 signed up as of this morning. If you plan to attend and are able to ride the bus as a chaperone or help with props, please sign up!

Prop Demo: Friday, 9/18 at 5:45 pm

Join us near the band trailer before the game to see this year's props and learn how to put them together.

This will also be the first night we take them on the field. The first attempt is always a little chaotic, so the more volunteers we have to jump in as needed, the better — we'll work out the kinks by competition time.

Band Payment Info & Links

Checks can be sent with your student to Mr. Shoemaker and should be made payable to West Forsyth Band Fans.

PAYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective August 1st, the Band Fans Venmo account will be closed. Please use the credit card links above, or pay by cash or check.
